Fotofólio, photobook

FOTOFÓLIO is a cycle of artist residencies/workshops for photographers, offering focused time for reflection, feedback and developing one’s portfolio with mentoring from photographers and curators.

This first edition focused on conceiving and creating a photobook project.

The residency included: an ongoing workshop led by photographer David Infante to create a photobook prototype (layout, narrative, image and production); a workshop on types of photography books with Filipa Valladares (STET); a writing workshop with Humberto Brito; critical portfolio reviews with José Manuel Rodrígues; a study visit to the Vila Franca de Xira Photography Biennial; and the Liquid Polaroids workshop with Jacinta Scott.
